New York is pretty much foodie heaven, it seems like there are endless places to eat and drink. With new and new concepts popping up every day. It can be a little overwhelming to choose where to eat and drink especially if you want to experience it all. I love roaming around the city and discovering new hidden spots but on a short trip it is helpful to have a list of must visit spots. We have our current most favorite spots in the city, you have to check these out and let us know in the comments what your favorite drink and restaurant spots are.

Le Coucou

A sophisticated yet cool spot that is perfect for a more upscale lunch or dinner. Their menu focuses on refined French cuisine with a modern touch. The vibe is classical yet cool, you are in very upscale dinning environment, but it doesn’t feel snobby or stuffy. A cozy and inviting interior allows you to enjoy your meal in a relaxed and trendy environment. The cocktails are very refined and creative with an extensive wine list. If you are celebrating a birthday or just want to treat yourself this is the perfect spot. The service and the food were impeccable.

If you are looking for a deal, for lunch they have $54 two course set menu, with dishes like a roasted duck with fig and a caviar potato soup. Reservation are a must and it is recommended that you make a reservation well in advanced.

Citizens of Chelsea

If you are planning a morning visit to the High Line, this brunch spot is the perfect one to hit up before you start exploring the High Line. Australian inspired brunch foods adorn the menu, with a delicious and very instagramable avocado toast and hardy breakfast sandwich. It is the perfect kick start to your day, I love pairing an avocado toast with a flat white. It feels very trendy and perfect for people watching, plants and light wood tables and chairs make it the perfect spot to get a brunch Instagram. During peak brunch times, expect a wait.

Blue Stone Lane- West Village

A perfect spot in the heart of the West Village, even if you aren’t lucky enough to get one of the outdoor seats, the inside is very trendy and comfortable. Serving all the brunch classics, it a great place to get your day started no matter what time you wake up. You can’t go wrong with the bacon and egg roll with a Mimosa. Reservations are not required but there might be a wait.

Public Hotels- The Roof

The hotel itself is important to note, but my favorite part is the rooftop, with arguably the best views of Manhattan. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset while sipping on one of their signature cocktails. With couches and plenty of areas to lounge, grab a couple of friends and enjoy a bottle of wine. The views are breath taking! It is also a great place for celebrity spotting, Drake was there recently.
